Outreach Health and Life Science Educator

The HALS outreach educator will specifically deliver outreach programming and museum experiences that incorporate a variety of life science concepts, including but not limited to: anatomy, dissection, genetics, cell biology and health and wellness. Educators provide instruction in local school classrooms and through programs within the Center. DCS educators provide learning opportunities to and for youth using DCS designed curriculum. The curriculum is tied to the National Science Standards and Grade Level Expectations and Missouri's achievement testing. Instruction using innovative and interactive methods is intended to complement and enrich classroom teaching, assisting both the students and teachers involved. The instructional content will generally cover the topics of chemistry, physics, biology, earth/environmental science, astronomy and engineering.
