For Kids
Choose one or more of these one hour programs for up to 30 students.  The same program can be repeated consecutively up to three times in one day.  The first program is $100. The same program can be repeated for an additional $75 each, with a maximum of 3 consecutive programs at one location during the same morning or afternoon.  Additional supply and mileage fees may apply.

Programs:

Magnet Mania uncovers the attractive properties of magnets (Gr K-3)

2.

Matter Matters explores fun experiments with various states of matter. (Gr prek-12)

3.

Sense-sational sniffs out information about our 5 senses (Gr 1-2)

4.

Germs and More discovers the world of microorganisms and provides tips for healthy hygiene (Gr 1-2)

5.

Ecology Explorations looks into life cycles, food chains and webs, the physical characteristics of animals, and adaptations (Gr 1-6)

6.

Astronomy Abounds investigates the planets and solar system (Gr 3-6)

7.

Move It! marches through a muscular and skeletal systems lesson (Gr 3-4)

8.

Power Me explores the cardiovascular and respiratory systems (Gr 3-4)

9.

Simple Machines emphasizes the properties and principles of levers and inclined planes (Gr 3-5)

10.

Geology Rocks investigates where rocks and minerals come from and explores their many-thousand uses (Gr 3-8)

11.

Chopstick China Observe how geography influences population distribution and cultural activities in the world's most populated country. (Gr 3-8)

12.

Magnifico Mexico Even though Mexico is located just south of
the United States, the two countries couldn't be farther apart in geography, history, and culture. Learn how these elements influence traditions and unearth some common misconceptions about Mexican holidays.
(Gr. 3-8)

13.

Peruse Peru Take a peek into the fascinating (& shocking!) world of the ancient Incas. (Gr 3-8)

14.

Notice the Netherlands Think “going green” is a new idea? Explore a
country that has been harnessing the power
of wind, water, and the human body for
centuries. (Gr 3-8)

15.

Africa's Lake Chad Learn about the shrinking lake and the diverse people who depend upon it to survive. (Gr 3-8)

16.

Jump Into Japan Learn how geography influences population
distribution, economics, and the culture of this island nation. Examine how history and natural resources influence holidays and festivals throughout Japan.
(Gr 3-8)

17.

Chemistry Capers Create a polymer, demonstrate the “Law of
Conservation of Mass” and identify physical and chemical reactions. Using the scientific method, design your own experiment, test the causes of chemical changes in “Chemistry in a Baggie”, and explore 4 different ways to change the rate of a chemical reaction! (Gr 3-9)

18.

Batteries Not Included traces digestion and the importance of nutrition. (Gr 5-6)

19.

Blood & Guts examines our "insides" - you choose the theme: heart & lungs, bones & muscles, brain & nervous system, or eyes. Additional fees apply. (Gr 3-8)

20.

The Gene Scene - Students investigate cell processes and genetics using innovative DNA activities developed by the National Human Genome Research Institute. DNA. See it, build it, touch it!
(Gr 7-12)

21. Inventor's Workshop - Inventing- what a process!  Learn some of the steps inventors use to plan, develop and create something new!  Inquiry strategies are at the heart of this program! (Gr 2-8)
22. Electricity Exploration - Build simple circuits and explore the properties of insulators and conductors as we discover what causes our very favorite form of energy! (Gr 3-6)
