International Year of Astronomy 2009 a huge success.

We finished up this year the last week of December with many different activities and a recognition in the Astronomy Gallery.

January 1, 2009 the space was completely empty, over the course of the year Discovery Center has been able to fill the space with 7 new exhibits and displays.

Thank you to our sponsor Jon Morse, Merrill Lynch and community participation in events like Einstein on Ice we have raised the funds necessary to continue to introduce new exhibits.

Thank you to Dale Flippo and other members of the Springfield Astronomical Society and Beth Whitehead, Regional NASA educator, for assisting monthly with Discovery Center star parties and facilitating the StarLab.
