Cell Experiments
In this activity, you'll learn about how fluids move through other fluids in a process called diffusion, and you'll discover how the cell membrane works to keep some molecules inside the cell and other molecules out.

Objectives:
  • Define the terms "diffusion," "cell membrane," and "semipermeable"
  • Observe water-soluble ink diffusing into water
  • Observe the semipermeable nature of a membrane using iodine and a freezer bag
