March Madness Membership Drive

For the month of March, anyone who signs up for a NEW membership will recieve $10.00 off thier membership purchase. Memberships must be purchased at the Discovery Center, and discounts qualify for anyone who has never had a DCS membership or their membership has been expired more than a year.

Spring Break Hours

DCS will be OPEN on Monday, March 13th from 9am-5pm when Springfield Public SChools is out for spring break.

Join us each day for a week of STEAM learning. We'll cover a new area of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics with hands-on activites to spark creativity, imagination,a nd learning.

Homeschool Day: Zoology
Tuesday, March 14
$15 members/$20 nonmembers. Cost includes admission to stay and play.
Limited to 30 students.

Science Sprouts: Farm Sprouts
Friday, March 17th
10:00am and 1:00pm
Included with general admission

Come see live baby animals and meet local farmers as we learn abuot science on the farm. Science Sprouts is is play time for the brain that's aligned with Missouri Early Learning Standards, promoting scientific development and a love for solving problems.

Parent/Child Workshop: Robot
Saturday, March 25
9:30am-11:30am or 1:00pm-3:00pm
$35 members/$40 nonmembers

Join Micah as we create a "Super Solar Recycler" using recylced items like aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and old CD's to create one of six solar-powered robot at this month's Parent/Child Duo Workshop.

Exploratory Lab

March's lab theme is Simple Machines and Bridge Building.

The Exploratory Lab is located on the 2nd floor of the east building in the Phenomena Gallery.
