Volunteer at DCS

There is a variety of ways to volunteer at Discovery Center of Springfield. DCS offers a unique opportunity to participate in and support the museum's creative and educational exhibits and programs. Many of our volunteer opportunities are for one-time events and others require ongoing commitments. The volunteer program has the flexibility to match its needs with your schedule, skills, and interests. Discovery Center of Springfield has a number of volunteer opportunities; whether you have a passion for science, creating exhibits, or you have a head for numbers, we have a position for you! Click here to view the volunteer opportunity descriptions. Once you have chosen what you would like to do for the center, fill out a volunteer application.

If you have not been through this training in the past year or would like a refresher, we encourage you to sign up for one of the next training sessions. They are on Wednesday February 19, 2014 and Thursday February 20, 2014; they both go from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you would like to attend a session, pleaase send an e-mail to dbohannon@discoverycenter.org.

High School Juniors and Seniors! Are you thinking about a career in a science lab setting? Do you have a passion for biology/life sciences? Do you want some hands-on, real-life experience that you can add to your future college application that will set you apart from the crowd?
