Robot Workshops
Join us to assemble your own robot and learn about electricity, gear mechanisms, circuits, and more. We’ll guide you through assembly of the robot, and then we’ll test them out! At the end of the evening, you can take your robot home with you.
Registration: We encourage one parent per registered child to attend. Registration fee for each parent/child duo is $15 for members and $20 for non-members, plus a fee for the robot. Pre-registration and prepayment is required. Register early to reserve your spot by calling Guest Services at 862-9910 x706.

• August 15, 6-8pm: Super Solar Car & Attacking Inch Worm - robot fee: $12.50 - recommended for ages 6 to 10
• October 17, 6-8pm: Triple Action Solar Car - robot fee: $26.00 - recommended for ages 8 and up
• January 30, 6-8pm: Sonic F1 & Walking King Crab - robot fee: $15.00 - recommended for ages 6 to 10
• May 15, 6-8pm: Valiant Viking Ship & Frightened Grasshopper - robot fee: $14.50 - recommended for ages 6 to 10

Scout Night

A Special night just for Boy and Girl Scouts! Take part in special activities available ONLY on Scout Night. Activities will meet a variety of requirements for different badges or other insignia. We have activities available for all different levels of both the Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs. Bring your Scouts and explore our newly expanded and renovated Science Center, featuring hundreds of new exhibits, and work on those scout project requirements while you're at it. Please note that no single badge will be completed with the activities featured on Scout Night - we aim to help with the more difficult activities and let you finish up the easier activities on your own. No preregistration required. From 5-8pm special scout admission: Non-member scouts $10.00 , adults $4.00.  Member scout $5.00, adults $FreeMinimum one adult per 5 scouts.
