Enjoy Springfield’s Route 66 Festival, find your new favorite restaurant, and make it a fun day for the family at the SGF Kids Food Festival presented by Maes Gelateria! With your all-inclusive ticket, local restaurants will provide sample size servings of their best kids food fare with options for even the pickiest of eaters. The best restaurants will win awards and the right to be the #1 kid friendly restaurant in their category. When you’re ready to cool off, head inside to the Discovery Center and explore over 300 hands-on exhibits across 6 combined floors all included with your ticket!
PLEASE NOTE: All cars parking in the DCS lot will be required to purchase a $20 parking pass at the time of entry. Guests are also welcome to find parking at nearby parking garages and on the street where permitted by the Route 66 Festival.
DCS Members: Be sure to select the DCS Member option for your membership discount. DCS membership status will be checked at the entrance. Please bring a copy of your digital membership card.
FAQ
What’s included with my ticket?
Both the child and adult tickets include same-day admission to the Discovery Center, access to the bounce houses, and an all-inclusive pass to the SGF Kids Food Festival. You will not need to purchase any additional tickets for drinks or food at the festival.
What kind of food will be at the festival?
This festival is perfect for kids (or kids at heart)! Expect to find kid-friendly food like hotdogs, pizza, frozen yogurt, and more.
What is the age range for a child ticket
Children ages 3-15 will need a child ticket, and all children 2 and under are free. Adult tickets start at 16 years old and up.
Where do I park?
Guests can park in available spots in our parking lot. Once full, there are surrounding parking garages and side streets within walking distance. Please check the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival website for any event related street closures.
What is the weather policy?
This is a “rain or shine” event. Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled by the Discovery Center.
Does purchasing Discovery Center admission that day include the Food Festival?
No, you must purchase a separate ticket to the SGF Kids Food Festival to attend but your Food Festival ticket does include same-day admission to the Discovery Center. To guarantee entry to the Food Festival, we encourage you to purchase your Food Festival tickets early.
