Each of the 40 Under 40 honorees this year are being recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in their fields, and we know that they would not be where they are today without educational support and a community of family, friends, and teachers believing in their potential.
40 Under 40 Honoree Justin Coyan believes “STEM means a whole new world of learning for kids and folks. It helps bucket the abilities and skills that individuals have. With the shortfall and rate of unemployment in our country, high demand high skill jobs are really focusing on STEM education.” Justin wants to give a shout out to his favorite educator, Toni Bass at Logan-Rogersville: “She made it exciting to learn, and you could tell she really loved and cared for all the kids in her classes.” Justin is raising funds on behalf of the Discovery Center and is asking for your help.
The Discovery Center of Springfield is your nonprofit (501(c)(3), community-funded science center that turns playing today into leading tomorrow’s workforce through hands-on, experiential learning. The Discovery Center creates our future nurses, manufacturing professionals, engineers, computer scientists—some of the very careers featured on this year’s 40 under 40 list. The Discovery Center is a place where children growing up or living in poverty find hope. They are a vital part of our community’s economic health because the Discovery Center gives visitors the tools they need to determine their own future regardless of socioeconomic status.
Would you help honor 40 Under 40 honoree Justin Coyan and celebrate his successes by believing in a child’s potential through the Discovery Center?
