Robot Workshop: Robot Workshops are a great learning adventure for both parents and children. Parent and child work closely with a STEM Instructor to build a functional robot. Learn about following instructions and how gears, circuits, and other mechanical parts work. Each workshop will focus on a different type of robot. All robots are produced by OWI Robot Kits.
Dissection Workshop: Designed for parent and child (ages 7 and up) to attend together as a learning team! A Discovery Center STEM Instructor will guide participants in learning about animal classification, identifying features of specific specimens, and a guided dissection experience. Come join us for one of these unique learning adventures!
Make and Take Workshop: These workshops introduce parent/child duos to skills that involve making or creating something! Our Discovery Center STEM Instructors will demonstrate the basics, and then you get to put the skills to work to make something unique!
