Seussical Science Days

Learn the Seuss way at the Discovery Center’s Seussical Science Days April 1-3. Solve an engineering challenge with the Cat in the Hat, catch some Seussical fish and see what colors they make, create a seed necklace with the Lorax, and set sail to deliver Sam his green eggs and ham! Plus, meet the Cat in the Hat himself with scheduled appearances throughout the weekend (times to be announced at a later date). Don’t forget to stick around and explore over 200 hands on exhibits including “Build: A Minecraft Adventure.”

Seussical Science Days are free with the cost of general admission and FREE for all Discovery Center Members–no need to buy a special ticket ahead of time:

Children (Age 3 – 15): $8.00
Adults (Age 16 – 59): $12.00
Senior Citizen (Age 60+): $10.00
Military Personnel (With ID): $7.00
Children 2 and under: Free

Activities:

• Build, Destroy, Build: Help the Cat in the Hat create a mess with a hands-on, engineering challenge.
• Who fish? You fish!: Learn about color mixing when you catch Seussical fish and put them together under a special light.
• Speak for the Seeds: They may not be Truffula Trees but make a seed necklace or bomb and see what grows in your backyard!
• Set Sail to Sam: Float your boat down the Rube Goldberg water table and deliver your green eggs and ham to Sam-I-Am!
