Whether big or small, community event, library, classroom, or beyond, DCS is ready to bring science to you. Our different outreach levels are designed to allow you the customization of fitting your learning environment and budget. Additional supply and mileage fees may apply. Small Group:
- Up to 30 students (must have 1 adult and be able to provide table and chairs for all students)
- 1-60 minute hands-on lesson with two hands-on activities and demonstrations
- $150* for the first lesson and $100 per lesson for additional presentations of the same lesson on the same day. Additional program supply fees may apply.
Medium Group:
- 31-74 students (must have 1 adult and be able to provide table and chairs for all students)
- 1-60 minute lesson with two hands-on activities and demonstrations
- $250* for first lesson and $200 per lesson for additional presentations of the same lesson on the same day. Additional program supply fees may apply.
Large Group:
- 75 or more students (must have 1 adult/30 students)
- 1-60 minute presentation
- $250* for the first lesson and $200 per lesson for additional presentations of the same lesson on the same day

Explore fun experiments with solids, liquids and gasses (Gr. PreK-8) - Ecology
Look into food chains, physical characteristics of animals, and adaptations (Gr. 2-6) - Astronomy
Investigate the planets and solar system (Gr. 2-6) - Simple Machines
Examine how the 7 types of simple machines help us to do the work (Gr. 3-5) - Geology
Investigate where rocks come from and how they change over time (Note: this program uses food items) (Gr. 2-6) - Chemistry
Learn to identify physical and chemical reactions as you experiment with chemicals (Gr. 3-8) - Dissections**
Examines our “insides!” You choose your specimen: heart & lungs, brain & nervous system, or eyes. Additional fees apply (Gr. 5-8) - Inventor’s Workshop
Inventing: what a process! Learn some of the steps inventors use to plan, develop, and create something new! Inquiry strategies are at the heart of this program (Gr. 2-6) - Electricity
Build simple circuits and explore the properties of insulators and conductors as we discover what causes our very favorite form of energy (Gr. 3-6) - Energy
What makes your car drive? Move your muscles? Turn your TV turn on? Energy! Explore the 7 main types of energy and how they work together to make things happen (Gr. 1-6) - Weather
Investigate where weather comes from and how important weather is to our planet (Gr. 1-6) - Fossils
Become a paleontologist as you discover the amazing world of fossils, including how to find them, where to look, and what we can learn about ancient plant and animal life (Gr. 2-6) - Flowers & Frogs**
Compare the structure of plants and vertebrate animals. Learn how internal and external structures often indicate function for survival and reproduction through two hands-on dissections
