You are invited to a special, free presentation at the Discovery Center on Wednesday, October 20 from 4 pm –8 pm. Dr. James Stivers from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is presenting his research on DNA repair and its biomedical applications to cancer, the aging process, and innate immunity. This event is aimed at and open to the general public. Hands-on activities for adults and children will take place before Dr. Stivers’ presentation.
This community event is hosted by the Discovery Center of Springfield and sponsored by the Missouri State University Department of Chemistry and the Dreyfus Foundation through the Jean Dreyfus Lectureship for Undergraduate Institutions.
