Volunteer at DCS

There is a variety of ways to volunteer at Discovery Center of Springfield. DCS offers a unique opportunity to participate in and support the museum's creative and educational exhibits and programs. Many of our volunteer opportunities are for one-time events and others require ongoing commitments. The volunteer program has the flexibility to match its needs with your schedule, skills, and interests. Discovery Center of Springfield has a number of volunteer opportunities; whether you have a passion for science, creating exhibits, or you have a head for numbers, we have a position for you!  If you are interested in volunteering for an event or year round please contact Kaleigh Trammell, Visitor Experience Manager, 417-862-9910 Ext 713 at Kjtrammell@discoverycenter.org

High School Juniors and Seniors! Are you thinking about a career in a science lab setting? Do you have a passion for biology/life sciences? Do you want some hands-on, real-life experience that you can add to your future college application that will set you apart from the crowd? If so, consider volunteering this summer in our Cruse Charitable Trust ChromoZone Visitor Lab! To find out more about this unique opportunity, or to schedule an appointment to find out more information, please call Sara Coffman at 417-862-9910 ext. 704 or email
