Let the wild rumpus start! Join us at the Discovery Center June 24-26 for a weekend of Where the Wild Things Are sponsored by BluCurrent and 92.9 The Beat. Create your own monster, sail a boat to the land of the Wild Things, and learn about critters big and small. Plus, hear special story times and meet one of the Wild Things! All activities are free with the cost of admission.
Purchase your general admission tickets at the front desk. This event is FREE for all Discovery Center members–no additional ticket purchase necessary for admission.
General Admission:
Adults (Age 16 – 59): $12.00
Senior Citizen (Age 60+): $10.00
Military Personnel (With ID): $7.00

- Critter Creation: Create your own Wild Thing specifically adapted for one of three environments, and place your little critter creation in its new home for the perfect photo op!
- Puff Boats: Design and build your own boat that is light enough to glide across our stream on three puffs of air.
- Wild Innovators: Can you build a web like a spider or a nest like bird? Use various craft materials to engineer your own special animal home.
BluCurrent Presents Free Family Movie Night

Join the Discovery Center and BluCurrent Saturday, June 25 for a free family movie night under the stars to watch the 2009 “Where the Wild Things Are”! Lot opens at 8:30 pm with popcorn, snow cones, and ice cream for purchase. This event is free but parking is limited.
The Free Family Movie Night is an after-hours event, and the Center exhibits will be closed. Indoor restrooms will be available.
